Matt Amodio lost Monday, ending his winning streak of 38 shows which is the second-longest streak ever, and brought him $1.5 million.
Amodio Amodio, a Ph.D. student in computing science at Yale University, landed in third place on Monday. According to the show, he was followed by the show’s host, an actress who hails from Florida and a researcher in statistics from Tennessee.
“I always dreamed of becoming a ‘Jeopardy”! Champion and I were able to do this,” Amodio said in the release. “l am aware that when I enter a bar trivia game I participate in, I’m bound to be greeted with a certain amount of intimidation. However, I also love the badge it symbolizes. Being someone who values the pursuit of knowledge and being knowledgeable is an ideal badge to keep in my life.”
Following the passing of its long-running host Alex Trebek, “Jeopardy!” received a lot of criticism over the choice of the executive producer Mike Richards as host amid revelations of him making demeaning remarks regarding females, Jews, poor people, and Haiti.

One of the closest competitors to Jennings during the record-setting streak of Jennings was James Holzhauer. He was, however, 42 games from winning and had only scored 32 games during his stint in the program. The fame and money would have been well-wishers; however, Jennings simply loves participating in trivia contests.

American Television producer Mike Richards was initially picked as the host of Jeopardy! Along with The Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik.
But, after the show’s announcement, the show was criticized for its decision to use Richards because of his controversial remarks. Been resurfacing.
On the 16th of September 2021, TMZ initially reported Jennings would be joining the show. However, Jennings is expected to return once more to the team and, as the host for the remainder of the season along with Bialik following the resignation of Richards, left the show.
Sony sources have told the publication that the executives aren’t sure what they will do next season; however this season progresses, viewers will see the return of Bialik, who initially been signed up to host Jeopardy! Specials.
Sources suggest that Bialik will be the frontrunner as Jennings produces a couple of weeks of episodes.
