If it’s not broken, you shouldn’t repair it, and the 2010 version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit isn’t broken. One thing is sure: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is as essential as remasters. Other than revising the look, adding several more objects of interest on the track, and adding a garage to show the cars between races, There’s nothing exceptionally awe-inspiring or novel in the game. However, on the other hand, it’s the main reason it’s a simple Remaster that’s done well, providing the much-needed tune-up and fresh paint coating to an already excellent arcade racer.

However, it can assist in getting used to the turns of that particular level. I especially enjoyed the stages close to the ocean with gorgeous views and anything wet from the rain because the reflections and lighting make for great visuals. One of the most enjoyable aspects that I love about Hot Pursuit is all the small gadgets that you have access to throughout the events, such as spike strips that you can place behind you to eliminate your opponents or roadblocks that you can use to act as a police officer and reduce the speed of your opponent. Being a child of games such as the 1998’s original Hot Pursuit on the first PlayStation and the myriad of racers it influenced, including Burnout, taught me to love crashing into automobiles in any racing game. Therefore, having fun that supports and rewards this behavior is good.
Verdict
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is as good as in 2010. It also modernizes the graphics to look as impressive as I remembered the first time I played it in the days of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, with nothing new aside from the improved graphics and some fantastic cosmetic improvements, This is undoubtedly the minimum you can expect from an update. This is a minor disappointment as we enter an exciting new console this month. However, Hot Pursuit still holds up as a fantastic game by itself. Racing is fast and furious, the variety of cars is delicious, and the fast-paced racing between vehicles never gets old.
